Seniyat Reyash is baked lamb chops topped with onions, tomatoes, and jalapeno peppers. It takes about 10 minutes to prepare, and the oven does the magic. In Palestine, Seniyat Reyash is usually served with rice next to a side dish of grilled or baked vegetables. This meal is also my mom’s favorite.
- 2lb lamb chops
- 1 medium onion
- 1 large tomato
- 2 jalapeno peppers
- 1/4 tsp all spice
- salt and pepper
Preheat the oven 375
Wash and pat dry the lamb chops, arrange them in a baking pan, add salt, pepper, and all spice
Slice the onions, tomato and the peppers, add them on top of the chops, onions first, tomato, then pepper
Cover the pan with foil, place it on the lower oven rack, bake for 1 1/2 hrs, remove from the oven
Serve with rice or baked potatoes, and your favorite grilled vegetables.
