Graibeh are traditional Palestinian cookies made from flour and butter, infused with orange blossom water and topped with your favorite nuts. Traditionally, graibeh is shaped like an S. They’re easy to make and melt in your mouth; once you try them you will be hooked. Sahtain!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tblsp orange blossom water
- pistachio (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350.
Combine the butter and sugar in a large bowl and mix well with a hand mixer or an electric mixer for a couple of minutes.
Add the flour gradually, and keep mixing until the dough looks smooth.
Add the orange blossom water, knead the dough with your hands.
Cut the dough into small balls and shape it the way you like, arrange the cookies on a baking sheet.
Add a piece of nut in the middle of each cookie.
Place the baking sheet in the oven’s middle rack and bake for 10 min.
Remove from the oven, let the cookies cool.
